Beresford-Kroeger will speak about her life's work and her two recently published books, The Global Forest (Viking) and Arboretum Borealis (U. of Michigan Press), which bring together ethnobotany, horticulture, spirituality and alternative medicine to reveal a path toward better stewardship of the natural world..

Diana Beresford-Kroeger, a botanist, medical biochemist and self-defined "renegade scientist," is on a mission to save the planet, one tree at a time. She lives in Ontario, Canada, surrounded by her research gardens filled with rare, endangered and climate change resistant species.
