Imagination Vegetable Garden
4th grade - Students come to the Imagination
Celebration Vegetable Garden for 9 bi-weekly hands-on gardening
sessions. The artistic design, vision, and colors of the garden come from the
imaginations of the children involved. Students learn about plant growth cycles,
decomposition, and soil cycles through composting, and observe the effects of weather, insects,
and other environmental factors on the garden through planting, caring for, and harvesting vegetable crops and
herbs. The program culminates with an artistic celebration of the harvest.
