Great Promise for American Indians

Great Promise represents artists from the many traditions of American Indian culture and art. Disciplines include drum groups, tradition singing in native languages, dance, and storytelling. Artists offer lecture-demonstrations and exhibits of native arts and crafts, presentations of various aspects of native culture and programs on traditions of specific nations or tribes. The artists of Great Promise come from all areas of the region, and beyond. Each artist is knowledgeable about the traditions of their area of expertise and is pleased to share their rich heritage with audiences.
