The Neiman Marcus Grand Canyon Celebration

Imagination Celebration will host a special evening event at Neiman Marcus at Ridgmar Mall March 30, 2011. This cocktail reception will feature live music, performed by "Oh, Whitney" and mixed media works by North Texas artists modeled on ancient Grand Canyon split-twig figures and landscapes. Dozens of unique creations will be on display throughout the store and available for silent auction bidding or sale during the evening. Ancient split-twig figures are 2,000- 4,000 year-old figurines made from a single twig split down the middle and folded into animal shapes. The original split-twig figures were found in remote caves throughout the Grand Canyon and are believed to have been totems associated with the hunting and gathering culture of the era.
