Sid Richardson Museum

ICFW is working in partnership with Fort Worth’s treasured Sid Richardson Museum in the creation of this special program in honor of our theme “America the Beautiful: A Celebration of the National Parks - focus on Grand Canyon. Docents will lead the students through a journey into the American West through the eyes of the artists. Students will see the permanent collection of Fredrick Remington and Charles Russell paintings as well as others. As a tribute to our theme, the museum is bringing a master work by Thomas Moran from the collection of the Grand Canyon National Park to be displayed from January to May. The students will then have the experience of working with artists from the Grand Canyon Residency Program, as well as some of Fort Worth’s leading artists, to create their own art.

The image seen above is a large, untitled painting by Thomas Moran from the Grand Canyon art collection which will be on display at the Sid Richardson Museum for this exhibition.
