Alexandra Nechita

Alexandra Nechita

Born in Romania on August 27, 1985, young Alexandra Nechita has already enjoyed fame that many older artists envy. Among her earliest exhibitions was one in the Los Angles Public Library when she was just 8. She has presented solo exhibitions in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, France, England, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and New Zealand as well as the United States.

Alexandra was the official artist for the 39th Annual Grammy Awards. She has also created commissioned works for the Andre Agassi Foundation, the Polaroid Corporation, the Special Olympic, and the Frank Sinatra Foundation.

Alexandra has also been recognized as one of "The Most Fascinating Women of the Year" by CBS-TV, one of the "100 Most Interesting People" by People Magazine, "Woman of the Year" by the American Red Cross and "Outstanding Art of the Year: Painting" by the Nubreed Synergy of the Arts at Lincoln Center in New York.

Most recently, the United Nations named Alexandra "Ambassador to the Future" for arts and education.

Arturo Rodriguez

As a music major at Texas Christian University in 1996, Arturo Rodriguez became the youngest recipient of the Mozart Medal at age 19. The award, which is presented by the Mexican government, had been presented previously to opera tenor Placido Domingo and conductor Eduardo Mata.

Arturo received a technical certificate from the University of Nuevo Leon when he was just 16, and in 1992 went to the National Music Conservatory in Mexico City. Recently Arturo moved from piano virtuoso to composer. The TCU orchestra both in Texas and in Mexico City has performed some of his works. This spring, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will feature one of Arturo's compositions.
