Merry We Meet
The Renaissance comes to life as students are transported along a timeline back to the year 1533 in Little Walsing, England! This delightful actors troupe provides an introduction to the participatory nature of song, dance, and music of the Renaissance. “Merry We Meet” is a program that features musicians with Renaissance instruments performing Renaissance music in period dress. This interactive program allows students to dance, sing, play instruments and become acquainted with some Renaissance customs. After returning to their own century they have an opportunity to ask questions of these Renaissance visitors. A study guide will be available to participating schools for preliminary classroom preparation.
