First Fort Worth Sculpture Symposium

Organized by the Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County with the assistance of Imagination Celebration, other agencies, and individuals the Botanic Garden of Fort Worth will host a unique symposium. From July 1st until August 15th four resident artists will collaborate in the creation of one monumental sculpture as well as the creation of an individual work. Upon completion, each of the individual works will be housed on a site in different areas of Fort Worth.

Another unique aspect of this event is that it will be open to the public. The four artists will work mainly under tents and be visited by FWISD students from year-round schools. The students and public will have the first-hand opportunity to view the process behind the creation of a sculpture. TCU students and faculty plan to video and document this wonderful new program.
