The Band Man

This music in schools program is designed to inspire fifth grade students to play a musical instrument in middle school and to tryout for the band. This music recruitment program was created and is presented by musician Tom Burkett, of Bluebonnet Brass. These lively and exciting programs will be presented in elementary schools across the FWISD. Mr. Burkett interacts with the students to teach them about the various brass, percussion, and woodwind instruments to encourage their interest in learning to play. ICFW works with the FWISD instrumental music department in presenting this program.
