New Arts SixBring “A Joyful Noise” to your school! Six women perform the music, poetry, and literature of their African-American heritage (including the poignant poetry of Paul Lawrence Dunber). The incredible voices and vibrant personalities of these performers has thrilled audiences all over America. They relate the strength, dignity and courage of the African American women throughout history; teach students opera terminology; and have them singing familiar gospels with joy. Will be offered to four schools with two performances a day.
